we are family ...

i may not have had all my sisters with me...

but it was a great time out in the hill country with a few of our cousins :)

my cousin heather and her husband barry really spoiled us out at their house.

i'm pretty sure we all drove back home day dreaming of living out there :)

on our way back we stopped and stretched at hruskas.  buddy had his first kolache.

to say he was happy would be an understatement.

we sure are glad you like the hruskas stop buddy.  there will be many more if you are a part of this family.

we are already looking forward to the next trip out to the hill country!

nine couldn't be more fine

Jack, these nine months have gone by way faster than my nine months of pregnancy with you.
My goodness how busy you are this month!

At nine months you are crawling like crazy. You have mastered crawling under tables and chairs without getting stuck.

You are climbing up on anything and everything.  You especially love looking out windows.

And you for sure are our water baby. Nine solid months of loving your baths, they never get old, just more fun!

At nine months you are sleeping well in the night.  Bedtime is 9 pm and you are ready to start your day at around 7:30 am.

You take one solid nap about three hours in the afternoon at about noon.  I cannot tell you how much I love seeing you when you wake up.   Bags under your eyes....

and the most amazing hair I have ever seen.

Your love for electronics is still going strong.

as well as your love for your spoon.

What I am enjoying most about this month is you being my little shadow.  Everywhere I go, you are crawling right behind me with little sounds like a puppy dog, usually chasing around whatever I have, especially the broom or swifter sweeper.

This month has a lot of its firsts for you buddy ...
Your first time to ride in your new car seat.

First time for you to notice it rain in the car :)

First time to try foods like, pancakes, chicken salad, and  have whole bites of bananas.

And your very first time to start brushing those teeth.

Let's just say that you "loving" this chore is an understatement.

Mr. Jack you are quite the entertainer for your dadda and I.

We can never get enough of hearing those crazy sounds you make,

seeing those smiles you try to hold in...

and receiving all those lovins you give us ...even if they turn into bites on our noses and cheeks.

We love you more than anything little man.

Happy  Nine  Months!

yet another celebration . .

I know, I know, how many times do we celebrate father's day??

Well I guess it's just a pure blessing to have such great men in this family.   I only hope and pray that you, Jack, will be a strong man with a gentle heart like all the other guys in the family.   Last Monday, we went to dinner to celebrate father's day with Richard's dad, Jack's Papaw.

We also were able to celebrate Nana's birthday, seeing as how it was only a few days away!

It was an evening with lots of smiles :)  Another happy father's day for Papaw and a very happy birthday for  Nana!

Food and fun

for Father's day weekend!

This past Saturday, Jack took his daddy out to eat for his first official Father's Day!

It was quite a wait for a late dinner,  but it was well worth it.
At least the evening events outside kept us entertained :)

Well, no more than Jack can keep us entertained.

We sat down for dinner right about the time you are well in bed, Jack.

But I think You enjoyed  your night on the town with us.  You enjoyed every bit of pizza crust and found your new entertainment during dinner,  a straw.

I'd say you made Dadda pretty happy Mr. Jack.

Sunday morning, after Mass, we headed down to Aunt Dana's to celebrate some more Father's Day with Gramps,

We gave Gramps his gift for his office.

All 16 grand-kids + 7 grand-dogs
to show off :)

The dads!

What a great weekend!  So blessed to have these men in our family!
