yet another celebration . .

I know, I know, how many times do we celebrate father's day??

Well I guess it's just a pure blessing to have such great men in this family.   I only hope and pray that you, Jack, will be a strong man with a gentle heart like all the other guys in the family.   Last Monday, we went to dinner to celebrate father's day with Richard's dad, Jack's Papaw.

We also were able to celebrate Nana's birthday, seeing as how it was only a few days away!

It was an evening with lots of smiles :)  Another happy father's day for Papaw and a very happy birthday for  Nana!

Food and fun

for Father's day weekend!

This past Saturday, Jack took his daddy out to eat for his first official Father's Day!

It was quite a wait for a late dinner,  but it was well worth it.
At least the evening events outside kept us entertained :)

Well, no more than Jack can keep us entertained.

We sat down for dinner right about the time you are well in bed, Jack.

But I think You enjoyed  your night on the town with us.  You enjoyed every bit of pizza crust and found your new entertainment during dinner,  a straw.

I'd say you made Dadda pretty happy Mr. Jack.

Sunday morning, after Mass, we headed down to Aunt Dana's to celebrate some more Father's Day with Gramps,

We gave Gramps his gift for his office.

All 16 grand-kids + 7 grand-dogs
to show off :)

The dads!

What a great weekend!  So blessed to have these men in our family!

best of them all . . .

little did he know what his future had in store.

lucky for us, we were to be a huge part of it!

I don't think there is a day that goes by with out us girls telling one another ...

"that's not what daddy would do..."
or
"why can't he be more like daddy?"

don't get me wrong we love our husbands to death :) but you just really spoiled us growing up.

we expect our hubby's to happily bbq once a week, preferably after the lawn is prim and proper.
our cars to be loaded up nice and neat.
to also gas up our cars and clean them before a long trip.
things to be labeled and organized when they are put into storage.
to gladly jump in and start looking for something when we scream that it is missing.
the radio to be on good country music when cleaning or working out in the garage.
oh how we wish they could also whistle like you do in the garage or in the car
and that easy quiet manner you have, even if your in the dog house for no reason at all.

the list really could go on and on.

but what I mean to say is, there really is no other like you daddy!
you are the perfect daddy for all your 5 kids
the perfect example of what a husband and father should be.
and  o h  how you are the best gramps for all 16 of your grandchildren.

happy father's day!
we love you!

we love you!

it is so amazing to see how you have grown as a father in these past 9 months.
i couldn't ask for a better man for jack to look up to.
thank you for all of your hard work you put in for our little family, as well as your sweet patience with our little man.
happy father's day!
we love you so much!

love,
katie and jack
