surprise & don't forget!!

on tuesdays this october, jack and i have been able to join nadia and sienna to pray in front of planned parenthood for 40 days for life. it has been an extremely moving experience, especially being there to pray and witness while expecting another blessing myself.   this last tuesday, nadia and i had planned to let the kids play at the park afterwards.  well, that morning, we both ran all kinds of late due to...well, contractions *ahem* -sam- and that lovely houston traffic.  when we finally arrived about 20 minutes late, i was joined by nadia's cousin christina and her sweet little man mason.  she let me know that nadia would just meet us at the park.  it sounded good to me, since we already had one crazy morning.  when we arrived at the park to meet nadia, that sneaky girl had a surprise picnic party for sweet samuel that she had planned all along.  she even had dana and abbie there!

they packed a yummy lunch, and of course the cutest little cupcakes!

they sure spoiled this mama!  i got m&m's, snacks, tissues, and comfy pajamas to keep this mama happy post baby.  samuel, don't worry, you did get a few goodies for yourself!

the kids got plenty sweaty for this so called fall afternoon.

sweet little felicity didn't make a peep. sam, i sure hope you are taking notes. no pressure, but she loves her carseat :)

i couldn't be more thankful for my sweet friends and the time they took out of their day to meet us across town, on a hot afternoon, in a park that i found out had no real play ground area at all.
oh my, i learn something new all the time!   you girls are the sweetest!  samuel is a lucky little guy!

now before i forget...today was also a special day!  i was thinking all day that today would be a good birthday for samuel.  it would make him exactly 25 months apart from big brother.  how cool would that have been?  well luckily granny called and reminded me it's jack's baptism day! so tonight after prayers we got out his candle and celebrated!  and just incase you are wondering...these are the pajamas he is persistent on wearing these days.   the boy likes a snug fit i guess. oh and yes no pants either.

jack anthony, with another year gone by, we have watched you really learn more about faith at your little age.  when we sit down at the table you are ready to say "foder ...sun" making the sign of the cross.  you are always happy to say "amen!"  your music request in the car is always my acts cd.  you wave "hi jesus" to every church you recognize driving by.  you love carrying your little crucifix or your maracas around singing "jesus jesus"  and you have occasionally been known to sing some responses at mass. you love receiving "bessings" at night.  we pray that as you grow older, your faith only deepens and gets stronger.   stay close to christ and the sacraments you will continue to receive!  we love you and are so thankful god has blessed us with you, as our first born!
xxoo
may st. anthony and your guardian angels protect you and pray for you!
