Happy Birthday Buddy

sweet jack,

 today was so much fun with you!  for starters... you woke me up at   f o u r  AM. by coming to our bed.  i quietly picked you up and carried you to your room while you repeated "mama onk shhh"   and pointed to our room.  translation- you wanted to sleep in our bed.  you gratefully accepted me sleeping in your bed instead.   as i laid there pretending to sleep, barely fitting onto your twin bed, i looked at you with your eyes starring at the ceiling wide awake, and i thought well this is fitting you come to me at 4 am in the morning on your birthday.  two years ago we got admitted to the hospital at the same time!  for the next two hours sleeping on and off  i was thinking about that exciting morning and really just weird-ed out that your brother was jabbing me all over the place as if to say, hey ill give you another exciting day soon!!  luckily i was able to go back to my own bed for a little bit before we got our day started.  we started if off with mass to celebrate your birthday.  you even got a birthday blessing from father orrin which was pretty special!   we then went on to get a little treat and play with sienna and nadia.   

after that we went to lunch of your choice, which daddy was pretty excited about.  

a burger of your very own!

                             

we got home just in time to watch a little "max and ooby"  before we read some stories and took a much needed nap.   

daddy and i just enjoyed watching you talk and play all evening.  we really can't get enough of you!  i told daddy at dinner, "i could listen to jack all day"... he responded with, "you do!"

 i thought oh yeah ...haha (pregnancy moment)  

  

jack anthony you are something special!   we feel so blessed that God has chosen us to be your parents!
 we continue to pray for you, your future and what God has in store for you!  

at two years old you ....

weight almost 30 lbs

are wearing 2T but still can't part with old shirts that you insist on wearing

sleep in your big boy bed.

take a 3 hour or more nap, always late in the day.

still want a story or two or three every night.

 repeat a lot of the words we say.

are obsessed with mama's ACTS retreat cd. just 4 songs, which you have names for.

are more nervous around maudie, but loudly say "no mau-ie"

love "nilk" but we can convince you to have water if we let you get the ice.

love bubble guppies 

now are a fan of umie zoomie and max and ruby.

can be convinced to turn off the tv and turn on "mu kick" on the ipod

love turning the music "up and down"

love your cousins especially "joey and ja"

call any four wheeler or motorcycle a "joey"

love to find "biiigg trucks" when we are driving

are responding with "yesh"  instead of "yah!"

give great hugs and kisses

are loved more than you'll ever know.
