oh what we do for contests. . .

Although this contest was to win more of these colorful diapers!   I think it is worth it!  We just love them.
If we don't win at least we had some fun taking these classic pics.   There were  w a y  more but these were some of my favorites I wanted to share.  And yes when you are all grown up my son,  I will still try and pull these out to share with your friends.

love you buddy!

1/2 way there

Yes buddy it is kind of scary!  You are 6 months and growing strong! 1/2 way to your 1st birthday.  This is going by just way too fast!  This post is going to be about the things you   l o v e  at the age of 6 months.  Because basically, at this age, you are a pretty happy baby.

You  l o v e  your feet.  Amazingly, you can reach them and all their chubbiness.  They can keep you entertained for quite a while.

You can sit up with out support this month!   You  l o v e  it!   Mama and Daddy did not realize this till we went to get your pictures done.  Oops!  You are getting better and better at it.

Oh yeah, you do not stay still for long anymore.
You   l o v e  grabbing everything in your reach.

You  l o v e  giving kisses.

So much so, sometimes it can hurt.  But we know you mean well. :)

You  l o v e  Chica on Sprout.  The little chicken on the left corner of the T.V. screen

You  l o v e  playing in your crib.
As well as pulling the bumper over you to see what is on the other side.

You do enjoy your thumb.  I guess Mama and Daddy are the ones that
 l o v e  that you enjoy it.

Same goes for you trying food.   You enjoy trying it out.  Mama and Daddy  l o v e  seeing your expressions.

You  also  l o v e  drinking water from your cup.   And it is too cute to see you do it like it is no big deal.

We can't believe how much you have accomplished this month!  We are so proud of you buddy!  One things for sure, this 6 month old little man is  l o v e d  like crazy by his parents.   We look forward to the next 1/2 of your first year.

rewind! spring break 2011

Well our Lenten season has begun.
This little one had his first Ash Wednesday service.
I could not pass up taking a picture of him.
There was just something so sweet about seeing this innocent one with ashes.
It just reminded me of how we are children of God and we are all pilgrims on this journey no matter how big or small...

Load em' up!

Spring Break 2011 Edmond Oklahoma?!?
Never thought those words would go together.
Although these days, I would trade a wild and crazy spring break for some much needed family time any time.
Edmond, Oklahoma means spending a few days with a few of my sisters and seeing
some of our other great family!

Jack's side kick during the long car ride journey - his cousin Bailey.  Jack did an awesome job on the road.  He had five little entertainers in the back seat.  It wasn't till we entered my sister's neighborhood, (the above picture)  he let everyone in the suburban know he had had ENOUGH.

Jack got to see his Granny, along with his great aunts.

 They sure are g r e a t .

Most importantly he got to see his Aunt Holly.
He sure was giving of his hugs and kisses.

He tried out the 'johnny jumper' and boy did he jump!  It provided entertainment for all.

We spent a lot of our time hanging out with sweet cousins, like Miss Sydney!
Isn't she gorgeous?!?

And yes, cousins even do bath time together!
It makes it way more fun!

She has older brothers, can you tell?

Jack and his side kick Bailey again :)

"Let's count the candles on my cake"

When it started warming up, we took the opportunity to load up the kids and head out to the park.. this one had a trail!

"Mama, walk off my chubby legs please!"

You're never to young to start bird watching.

Cousin Braedon!  Handsome little man!

Cousins Joshua and Andrew, trying to find the way!

We came home on St. Patrick's Day. It was such a great week with family, always sad to say goodbye, but we were happy to see Daddy when we got home!  It took a few days to unpack and get back to our normal routine.  Now back to the busy work of a house wife!

r o d e o h o u s t o n

Today was my first rodeo!  It was a pretty big day for me.  Mama couldn't stop taking pictures.  You're lucky I am only sharing what she considers a "few."

Road my first trolley.  That was interesting.  I enjoyed it much better than that car seat I spent spring break in.

Enjoyed all the sites.  This puppet had me quite entertained.  I couldn't resist touching his soft fur with my slobbery hand.  I thought he'd like it.  I think he did but his owner did not.

Bought my first hat.  No other than a cowboy hat!  If had a penny for all the people talking about me as we passed by I'd have a full piggy bank.

It worked great with keeping the sun out.  Besides pure entertainment, I think that is why my parents insisted on it.

Saw lots of other babies like me. Well sort of... they looked as cuddly as me.

This was a big baby, Borden's calf.

Most of all I enjoyed some family time with Mama and Daddy.

Yes I know, here comes the hat again.  I have to say it was pretty fun to wear.

Loved telling Daddy how much I enjoyed my time with him.

I'm kinda liking this whole cowboy thing.  At least the outfits are fun.

As Robert Earl Keen says ... we had a time!

But after this much fun,

This is where the cowboy rides away . . .
