oh hello there...

oh how i love this little man.

even when he has me running all over the place to catch him.  

(these pictures were taken out at gramps and granny's.  before we left i had to lure you, little man, to the car with m&m's.  you could have played outside all day.  well, me too though.  that place just does it to you.)

oh buddy

  i can't stop with the camera and your silly faces.   since we've been back from all of our trips, we have definitely been enjoying our down time.  and with that down time, we have also been enjoying you becoming such a big boy!  letting us know what you want and when you want it.  you are very persistent with your signing "please" and it has been very hard for this mama to turn it down in the stores.  but im trying very hard.  

we have enjoyed a few weekends with just us.  me, you and dadda oh yes and ice cream.  why not?

the book exchange we participated in has taken your addiction to books to a whole new level.  

we enjoyed a super bowl party where you weren't too sure of what to make of the ginormous tv screen.

and because you are growing like a weed, we've picked up a few new pair of pajamas lately.  the buzz pajamas have been the most exciting.  you get so excited to put them on.  you even try helping hurry the process, along with telling me who is on them "buu!  buu!"  

maybe my picture taking craze is rubbing off on you.  after a few poses you run to see what the picture looks like and run back and try it again.  : /

after about 3 minutes you loose interest.

with the cold/hot weather we've been having ...we went out to our park.  for you it was a whole new world.  it's been probably since thanksgiving that we were out there last. 

of course you can't really escape the camera there either.  :)  

but we had a fun game of hide and seek.   boo! 

we had friends come and visit on rainy days....

and we have been patiently waiting to celebrate st. valentine's day :)

you're a travelin man ... (picture overload)

you've made a lot of stops in this month of january.  we've been all over the place together buddy!  celebrating some very special occasions and creating the best memories along the way!

we took a day trip to austin to celebrate your two new cousins, liam and riley.

we were able to celebrate your great. great aunt and uncles new home in frelsburg.  it was referred to as a house "cooling" party as the warming was previously done by the fires that took their last home, last fall.

we celebrated gramp's birthday back in brazos country.

he's the best.

then we took a big trip to see your cousins in oklahoma!   we traveled there by plane and were very busy from the time we arrived to the time we said goodbye.  you loved playing with sydney! 

this trip was eventful to say the least.  you were a trooper. you caught what they call "the croup" and with a night trip to the er to get breathing treatment, you were diagnosed with croup with a mild case of "strider."  it was so scary to see you like that.  you did not like the breathing treatment or the steriod medicine the doctors gave you, but the more you cried the more you were able to take in.  your breathing became much more relaxed and i will never forget your silliness when the medicine kicked in.   my mind wandered about how much i wanted to do for you or get you just to make you feel better.  after finally falling asleep at 5 am in the morning you slept for almost the whole following day.  when you woke up that evening you were a happy little boy.

when things settled down, the last day, mama was able to play photographer out in their back yard.

the last night we celebrated with smores outside.  the kids had so much fun!

  

right now we are happy to be home, getting over the croup and just enjoying time with our little family.  

we are so happy with all the blessings of this last month.  God is so good!
