oklahoma wedding weekend

amber and brandon tied the knot!  

it was a beautiful wedding and reception.  we were all so happy to get together!

play with babies...

and of course play photographer.   all these little guys looked so handsome we just couldn't stop taking pictures!

so extremely happy to see my family all in one state!

and our growing family :)  jack you practically have sam as your built in leg rest now.

we missed having chad's family there and dana's family wasn't complete with out mike either!

i realized that i couldn't get  e n o u g h  of this little jude.  he is irresistible to say the least.

i also realized, as much as i miss the older girls being sweet little models in their adorable dresses,

 these little boys sure know how to hold the title of handsome little men.  

andrew's first wedding as a ring bearer.  he did an excellent job!

braedon got really involved with the wedding party! 

now let the party begin!

congrats to the newly weds!  may you have many many happy years and blessings ahead!

and another congrats to the brides parents for surviving their baby girls wedding!  they did a beautiful job!  you couldn't wipe the smiles off their faces if you tried!

the next morning we could all tell who was related to who... by the bags under our eyes.   even the babies had them :)

it was so wonderful to spend time with so much family!   hoping we don't have to wait too long before we all get together again!

it's okay we love you to pieces. through the new tantrums and all.  just don't blame mama when your older, if the pictures are far and few of these days growing up.  there are only so many pictures to have of you running away, looking down or screaming.

this mama's growing at 23 weeks...

this last week, you got to play with your cousin seth, well i like to say you did.  during our photo session you enjoyed kicking him a little bit.

you are really kicking up a storm these last few weeks.  it makes mama happy and a little nervous about how feisty you might be.  i said recently how fast this pregnancy seems to be going but i know i wont think that at all during the last month.  for now i have things that keeping me busy.  your aunt holly was just in town.  then next week i will be going on my first ACTS retreat with nadia.  of course you will come too!  get ready for lots of singing!

when we get back we have more baby showers and more weddings to attend. and then there is your brother who keeps us busy in between.  

at twenty-three weeks  you won't let me wear to many "normal" clothes anymore.  at least not comfortably. i decided this week i need to embrace the maternity clothes.   i love, love, love feeling you kick.  your daddy finally is able to feel it too, which he loves!  for now you and i are just surviving the texas summer heat together and taking naps when brother does.  i figure i only have a few months of that left, i better rest up while i can!

happy independence day!

fourth of july fell on a wednesday this year, so we didn't go too far from home since it was the middle of the work week.  we started our morning off with mass and enjoyed our family time at the house.  later that afternoon we went out to brazos country for dinner.  it was nice little get together with dana's family, granny and gramps and nana and papaw.

jack, we brought your "joey" as you call it, so you and joshua could ride together.

needless to say, you stayed very busy playing outside.  only really coming in for dinner.

oh joshua, you are such a natural at taking pictures.  you should really teach jack how fun it is to be in a picture! 

samuel made more of an appearance this weekend.  i think he knew jack wasn't going to stop for any pictures so he might as well steal the show, or well the space. 

nana had to chase you when you got the chance to sneak on the big power wheels.  you really think you are big stuff these days.

i think the only reason we got this picture of you looking back is because dana called your name.  we attempted a fourth of july photo session but this is as good as we got before scream fest happened.

it's all good though, hopefully you will get it out of your system before brother gets here.  or maybe we will just know the right tricks by then :)

jack anthony 21 months

yes i know, you are almost out of the stage of me calling you by months.  to strangers that ask i have given up on telling them how many months you are.  i have officially started to say...*gulp*  he's almost  t w o.
and boy are you proving it these days.

mr.  i n d e p e n d e n t  himself.

you are quite the recorder these days.  trying to repeat every last word we say.  you've impressed us with the way you just say things on your own too.  like chocolate milk aka "co co - nilk"  it impresses daddy so much so he gave in this weekend and put some chocolate syrup in your "nilk."  

today at mass you reminded us how much you are obsessed with daddy's truck.  "da-ee tuck"  was all you could tell us about.  when mass was over, you were happy to get plenty of holy water or  as you said "o-ie wa"  with a sopping wet hand. on our walk to the car you said "bye bye je us!"  

you are happy to tell everyone and everything hi and bye. for example the baby pool, mama's car aka "mama tar," maudie - "ma-ie" and of course your little four wheeler you ride around on in the house, you call it "joey"

you have started a new love with the word "no"  we aren't too sure how we like this one.  you want us to rock you to sleep at night now, this might not be good before we transition you to your big boy bed. ( i know i know, mama hasn't pulled the trigger on that one yet.  we do have good reasons to put it off) but for now we enjoy rocking you, especially mama because before long you wont fit on my lap.  you've gotten the biggest bruise so far (as seen in these pictures) we are going on a week with its appearance only getting more colorful.  you don't eat much in your high-chair anymore.  you are more eager to climb up in "da-ie chair"  and eat like a big kid.  even though we try and tell you big kids don't get up and down constantly.  we are working on it.  you're still a thumb sucker and well we will worry about quitting that one later.  going through mama's hair - we are working on that daily lately because its getting to be a bit much.  we can only laugh at the thought of if we didn't get you to quit that habit.  jack, you are doing so much so fast these days you are making this summer, truly a blast.  it's hard to catch up with you and well when we do we don't want to let go of you!  you are still so lovey and well we love that and always will! only a short   f o u r   months left with just the three of us!  we are so excited for you to teach brother just how this little family rolls.

i wish i could capture every second of you playing with your cousins.  you were literally wore out after this last week.  we played. we laughed.  we fell down stairs. we stayed up late. we swam.

                                             

we'd do it all over again if we could...
