oh baby!

we haven't forgotten about you.  promise.  you made it somewhat hard for mama to get decently dressed and have the energy to get out and take pictures of how you are making me grow. grow. grow.

so the first picture we took was you at only sixteen weeks. this was actually perfect timing because i think this was when you really did start making your appearance.

it is mama's fault that we didn't get the seventeen week picture.  i'm sorry.  but really i dont think i had much to show off. 

 :)  

for now we will stay on track with the even weeks.

yep you are growing! if not in the front, somehow you are making mama grow in the back.   

brother loves you so much.  a couple times a day he will say "mama! b! b!" he pulls me down so he can give  you a hug or kiss, an occasional tickle and most recently he gave you his milk and said "a num a num"  as if you two were sharing.  today he showed a little interest in taking the pictures too.

it didn't last too long though.  there was baseball to play and maudie to chase. 

the last two weeks, you have been kicking around  a  l o t  at night, which just makes me squeal! i forgot how much i loved that feeling.  knowing what a little person you are it is such a miracle.  you are such a blessing to us!  we are praying you are growing healthy and strong every day.  in just two weeks we will find out if you will be little brother or sister.  we are thrilled either way we are just excited to call you by name as soon as we find out!   we love you little bit!

look who is ready for kindergarten!!

can't believe what a big girl she is!  

i can't wait to see how much bigger he is than her, at her "high school" graduation.

let's hope it's a really  l o n g  time before that day comes!

missouri loves company....

and we  l o v e d  being their company!

along with all the other cuties... 

the agenda was packed while we were there.

we enjoyed a very hot afternoon watching isaac play tball.

then went back to the house to throw a rather early surprise party.

we enjoyed a new swing set out back.

as well as the other toys and laughs in the backyard.

the next day was so special to see emma make her first communion.

they were missing their other god sister, sydney :(

we even made it out to a pretty cool park to enjoy the amazing weather they had.

seriously can't get enough of jude.

we truly had one of the best times up there! we were happy to come home to dadda though.  funny thing is when he saw all the pictures he said... "i wanna go to kansas city!"  

so next time we decided we've got to go all together!  even if it takes a long car ride up there.

i'm starting to understand

how 

boys will be boys.

he jumps in every puddle he can find.

throws every ball he gets his hand on.

loves any dog he sees.

watches everything in the sky ...

with shear amazement.

jack you are quite the crazy kid these days.  at twenty months we feel like you are going full speed towards a two year old boy. your vocabulary these days is random but rapidly growing everyday. you tell everything and everyone you meet hi and bye.   you still love to cuddle and your obsession with your thumb and my hair is not going away.  we are working on it. you still love your books. the top one right now is "cars, trucks and things that go."  you somehow know where goldbug is on every single page.  just the other day in the car you showed me how you snap your fingers. you chime in when we sing "i've got the joy" but you won't let me catch it on video yet.  you are obsessed with anything sports and now hold the bat with both hands.  you also have an extreme swing.  you sometimes walk in the room with a silly side step and dance.  we can't get enough of that one.   going to bed isn't as easy as it use to be.  you like to "wok"  till you fall asleep.  we are trying to teach you that can't always happen.  we are thinking your time in the crib might be coming to an end, but we can't bring ourselves to do it just yet.  it will definitely be harder on us than you. you love love love your cousins and we are so blessed that you have so many.  it is such an awesome sight to see how happy you are when you see them.  you know them all by name now. we can't wait to start this summer with you.  it will definitely be one to remember, after all it's your last one with just the three of us.  

we love you more than you will ever know.
